God Is Sufficient Unto Me (Gol Allah)
The story of this song is very powerful.
Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Baha'i Faith, was imprisoned along with other followers of the new Faith in the "Dark Pit", a horrible dungeon in Tehran. The prisoners were placed in two rows, facing each other over the stocks in which their feet were held. The air they breathed was foul; the stone floor was covered with filth and infested with vermin and no warmth relieved the dungeon's icy gloom. Yet, despite these unbearable conditions, Bahá’u’lláh taught the prisoners facing to sing verses in response to each other. One row would sing, 'God is sufficient unto me; He verily is the All-Sufficing!', and the other would reply, 'In Him let the trusting trust." For more details about the events in this prison, see
Bahá’u’lláh in the Siyáh-Chál.
I Am the Son of Wisdom

Iseluleko Sami
This song is sung in English then in Isizulu. The composer of the melody is unknown. The SATB arrangement was written by Alan Manifold. The words are written by Bahá’u’lláh: “O Son of Spirit! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting”.
